ArcGIS Solutions for State and Local Government Address Collection
Address collection is an essential component of any plan for managing customer data. This process ensures that addresses on the company's database correspond to addresses on customers documents that prove address like pay stubs and tax returns.
A central database for contacts can also be used to manage personal projects, like sending out holiday cards and wedding invitations. Here are some tips for collecting and organizing contact information in the easiest way possible.
ArcGIS Solutions for State and Local Government
The ArcGIS Solutions for State and Local Government provides a set capabilities that allow you to maintain a repository of authoritative addresses and improve the quality of the data on addresses and share authoritative addresses with both external and internal stakeholders. The solution comes with an application for ArcGIS Pro that is designed to be used by mapping teams, address verification teams, and other individuals who are responsible for collecting, maintaining and utilizing authoritative road centerlines and valid address data for sites. It also comes with a series of preconfigured ArcGIS Data Reviewer checks that can be used to validate and maintain the integrity of address data.
Address data capture is the process of collecting site and postal address for all buildings as well as structures, sites and structures that require an identification number. It is a necessary step in the development of a reliable road and street network that supports secure and efficient commerce and service delivery.
By following the steps of the Add Site Addresses Task you can build a new feature in the Address Data Management task. Site addresses are unique to the structure they serve or a specific area within a parcel. A site address may be the entrance to a driveway that is used by one or more houses on the parcel. The address of the site could also be a point of contact for a delivery point such as the fire station.
When you create a new website address, you can optionally join one or more distinct postal addresses with it. Postal addresses are used to identify a structure, or other structure and provide contact details for the owner or the person who occupies it. The site address feature type and classification schema is based on the status field, which lets local governments categorize features into temporary, pending or current.
Assume you are a supervisor for an address authority and your team is assigned to verify an incorrect address report provided by an external stakeholder. By using the ArcGIS Workforce app, open the Address Field Inventory map and search for the address in the query. Select the missing address and tap Edit. Enter the correct address information including the street's name and the city. Tap Submit (iOS), or the checkmark (Android).
ArcGIS Pro Project
An ArcGIS Pro project provides a space to organize your work, store files, and use a variety of tools and features. A project could be a combination of maps, scenes layers, layouts, and layers to display your data in the way you would like it. It may include links to databases, folders and resources for importing and exporting data.
Each item in a particular project has a set of attributes that define it, or its metadata. A project's metadata can help you find items, assess them, and determine which ones are best to use for your current task. It can be used to record the content of a project. Metadata can be used to describe a map or the scene. You can modify the metadata for each item within an application by clicking the Properties button on the toolbar, or in the Details window.
ArcGIS Pro projects are reusable--the objects in them (such as scenes and maps) can be transferred to other projects. Also, project components (such as geodatabases and toolboxes) can be moved or renamed from one location to another. Many of the items can be accessed via connections without having to save them in the project file.
The Project tab appears on the main page of ArcGIS Pro. You can select to open a recently completed project or create a new project by using a template. You can create a new project by using the Map template. This opens a map with the topographic basemap.
You can save your project to an individual folder on your local computer, or to the portal that is active. The default project location is C: Users username>
